- Leave plenty of time to travel to the airport so you have some breathing room. Allow additional time for connections and getting from the station or stop to the terminal.
- Check your airport connections. Some airports have direct public transport links, while others can require a connection, so it's always best to use our dedicated airport pages to check the latest travel information.
Travelling with luggage
When you travel with Northern, you can bring up to three items of luggage:
- One large case (up to 90 x 70 x 30cm)
- One cabin-sized bag
- One small backpack or handbag
Please make sure your luggage is suitably packed and you’re able to carry it yourself. Please keep luggage out of aisles, doorways, and wheelchair spaces. Other train companies may have different rules, so if your journey involves another operator, check their website before you travel.
