York is the main train station in the city with several landmarks and attractions within walking distance.

There are no specific luggage restrictions on Northern trains to York. However, we ask that passengers are mindful of how much luggage they bring and use the dedicated luggage space provided. Please do not block the train doors, walkways or use seats for luggage.

York train station is a short 14-15 minute walk from the city centre.
The construction of a new 630 space multi-storey car park at York Station means that the short-stay car park is currently closed. Due to this, surrounding car parks are likely to be busy, so it's important to plan ahead if you do plan to park nearby.
