What is a Season train ticket?
If you make the same journey at least 3 times a week, it could be worth considering a train Season ticket. This ticket offers unlimited travel on a predetermined route, saving you money and time. They also eliminate the need to queue when you're running late - just scan your Barcode Season ticket or swipe your contactless Smartcard.

There is a big choice when it comes to deciding which Season Ticket option to buy. Weekly, Monthly and Annual Season Tickets offer big discounts for the duration you select, while the more specialised tickets cater to a range of sectors, including commuters and children in education.
Providing discounts of up to a ⅓ off most train tickets, Railcards offer a great way to explore the countryside. Most Season Tickets cannot be used in conjunction with Railcards as both have large discounts already applied. These discounts vary between tickets, and the free mobile app can provide you with the latest offers.
