Sheffield train station information

Formerly known as Pond Street, Sheffield Station, with its impressive stone facade, was built in 1870 when Sheffield was at the height of its industrial importance as a producer of steel. It has seen several redesigns and additions over the years, the last one being to open the Sheffield Tap, a bar situated on platform 1B, and serving a wide selection of international beers, earning itself the National Railway Heritage Award and the Cask Ale Pub of the Year award.
