We're working hard behind the scenes to create a self-service digital tool that will allow customers to compare the cost, time and carbon impact of their travel! We want to empower our customers to discover the precise savings which can be made on their typical commute (expected to go live early 2023)
- Initially based on each of our 25 most popular commuter routes
- Direct comparison of the train vs car on these routes for a 9am arrival and 5pm return
- Based on external data sources – National Rail train times and Google Maps (Average of fast services arriving between 8-9am for the May 2022 timetable & Average travel time to arrive by car by 9am Wednesday)
- Per week: Multiplied by x9 for a weekly view (4.5 days per week)
- Per year: Multiplied by x483.17 for the average tickets taken on an annual season ticket
