The York River Walk is a circular path that follows the river through the city, giving you a great view of the scenery from a peaceful walkway. The trail is around 2 miles long and is easy to follow, making it a great option for walkers of any level. 

Along the way, you'll pass by Rowntree Park, the picturesque York City Walls and the Millennium Bridge, so it's the perfect opportunity to explore some of York's best features. 

The trail also offers opportunities for wildlife watching, as you may spot swans and even herons along the river. This circular walk starts at North Street, just next to the Radisson Hotel, which is a quick 9-minute walk from York Station. So, if you're looking for a leisurely walk in York, this trail is sure to please.

If you're looking for a slightly longer walk in York, this trail is for you! Starting at Rowntree Park, you can enjoy a 6-mile walk along the beautiful River Ouse and pass by Bishopthorpe Palace, York Racecourse and the Former Terry's Chocolate Factory. 

The route is well-marked and easy to follow, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll or family day out. The Bishopthorpe to York section of the walk is also accessible to wheelchair users.

5. York Cat Trail
