Want to explore the area from the water? The canals of Manchester are famous for their vast waterways which stretch for miles. You can hire a canoe, kayak or boat to explore the Bridgewater Canal – perfect for spending a leisurely day in the peace and tranquillity of the Manchester canals.

Want to splash and swim without worry of the weather? The Manchester Aquatics Centre is only a 15 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station and has a multipurpose training pool with moveable floors and booms to allow for a variety of different activities, including underwater hockey!

If kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing or sailing are more your thing, visit the Trafford Water Sports Centre, located at Sale Water Park. During the school holidays they even run clubs to keep the kids active and entertained while you are at work.

You might prefer to escape the hubbub of the city centre and visit Salford Water Sports. Only a short train ride from Manchester Piccadilly, you can enjoy open water swimming, paddleboarding, wakeboarding and ringo – the perfect way to enjoy the summer sun.
