Chris's Chippy

Nearest station: Mossley Hill

Chinese chippies are a unique dining experience, popular in the North West, particularly Liverpool. They typically serve a wider range of meals than standard chippies, with everything from classic fish and chips, traditional English pies and Chinese takeaway meals on offer. Of course, crossovers happen; half fried rice/half chips with curry sauce anyone?

Chris's is a great example. First opened in 1967 by Chris Moustoukas and still run by the same family today, Chris's is an institution and goes one step further than most by also including Greek meals on the menu. Chris's is as popular as ever, and even received a visit from the Hairy Bikers a couple of years ago to sample some of the unique delicacies on offer.
