Our regional community and sustainability managers work closely with our community rail partnerships and station adopters to support them in their daily operations and to support them in different stages of development. For those interested in getting involved, we provide the relevant forms and guidance.

Northern Community Rail and station adoption map

Our network covers Northern England and many of our community groups look after multiple stations across different routes. We support hundreds of Community Rail Partnerships and Station adopters. Each CRP route and Adopted station has been highlighted on the Northern Community Rail and Station Adoption Map

Community Rail reports

Each year, we release a community rail report detailing activities from the last twelve months. We work with our community groups to keep up to date on projects throughout the year and have included a range in this year’s Community Rail Report. Reports from this year and the previous years. To access reports from before 2020, contact your local Regional Community and Sustainability Manager.

We have a range of funding opportunities to support our Community Rail Partnerships and Station Adopters. including Station Adoption Funding. If you have any questions, please contact your local Regional Community and Sustainability Manager. 

Station Adoption Funding

Our Station Adoption Fund is available to station adopters who wish to improve their local stations for their community’s daily use. It could include gardening, biodiversity projects, artwork, heritage boards, running workshops, and working with us to make larger station improvements, such as shelters and signage.
