Super League
We are delighted to announce our continued partnership with the Super League for the 2026 season as the Official Sustainable Train Travel Partner. This collaboration not only strengthens our commitment to supporting rugby league and Northern communities but also brings exclusive travel benefits and convenient connections for fans, making it easier than ever to enjoy the sport we all love.
Why we partner with Super League
We’re proud to have supported Super League for over a decade, with our partnership dating back as far as 2005. This year, we’re even more excited to extend our support to both the Women’s Super League and Wheelchair Super League for the very first time.
If you’re a rugby league fan, there’s a good chance you travel with us already! Our train network covers almost every Super League team and stadium in the North (except those in France!), so we’re perfectly placed to help you get to the action. With our partnership, you can enjoy affordable and convenient travel to and from matches, making it easier than ever to experience the sport you love.
We’re also passionate about giving back to local communities. Through our support for grassroots clubs, we’re helping to grow the next generation of rugby talent. Keep an eye on this page as we're announcing our 2026 community competition winners soon.
Our 2025 community competition winners

In 2025, Batley ARLFC Under 8s won the community competition, receiving new kits and training equipment. Huddersfield Giants star Tom Burgess ran a special training session, and prizes were presented by Kerry Peters from Northern.
Runners up included Cottingham Tigers Under 11s, Keighley Albion Under 10s, Rochdale Mayfield Under 12 Girls, Warrington Girls Under 13s, and Saddleworth Rangers Under 9s, each receiving equipment and kit.
Batley ARLFC coach said, "We’re extremely grateful to Northern Trains for their generous support. The training equipment and clothing they’ve provided is invaluable to the development and enjoyment of the players."
