While the iconic Grade II Listed entrance hall was kept, the real standout was a stunning stainless steel screen on platform 4, created by local artist Stephen Charnock. Inspired by Blackburn’s industrial history and legendary figures like David Lloyd George and Barbara Castle, it’s a striking piece of art that adds a touch of the past to this modern station.
