The four-platform Skipton Station has been serving the town of Skipton since 1847, which, known at the ‘Gateway to the Dales’, sees nearly 1.5 million visitors arriving by train annually.
The architecturally beautiful station has kept the curling Victorian canopy, with its glass panes and wrought iron frame. Giving a sense of glamour and grandiose charm to the platforms, it has been granted a Grade II listing. Opening into the heart of this charming North Yorkshire market town, there are plenty of things to do and see here all year round.
It takes around an hour and fifteen minutes by train to get from the station to Leeds Bradford station.
Going via the High Street, it takes around ten minutes to walk from the station to Skipton town centre.
The station has 100 car parking spaces, including Blue Badge spaces.
Skipton Station has spaces for 20 bikes.
