Northern and West Yorkshire Combined Authority are working together to increase the number of parking spaces at Normanton station. Construction work will begin in late July 2023 and will last for 12 months.

The extended car park will consist of the following:

  • Approximately 128 car parking spaces in addition to the existing 52, taking the total new capacity to approximately 180 spaces (including accessible parking spaces)
  • Widened entry for easier access
  • The new car park will continue to be free for rail users.

 

Alternative arrangements

During construction, work will be completed in two phases so that a reduced number of car parking spaces remain available.

The map below shows the frequency of bus services stopping from Market Place in Normanton. The following bus services to Normanton Market Place run close to the rail station: 147, 186, 189.
