Webinars for MP office staff / caseworkers

We are holding a series of lunchtime webinars for MP office staff and caseworkers. These will be hosted by our Regional Directors and Stakeholder Managers, and will provide an overview of Northern and our work in the regions, as well as answering common constituency queries.

Craig is responsible for Northern’s operations in the North West covering Manchester, Liverpool and Lancashire. He joined the rail industry in 1991 and has held various roles including depot manager, stakeholder manager and head of trains and stations for Northern across Lancashire, Merseyside and Cumbria.

Owain is the Stakeholder Manager for the North West and is the key contact for all stakeholders within the region. He has been in the role since 2019 and before joining Northern acquired extensive experience in rail through working in local government and transport consultancy.

Kerry began her career the rail industry with British Rail in 1994 and was with Cross Country for 12 years before moving to Northern as the result of a chance meeting on a train. She previously worked as Northern’s regional director for the North East until moving into her current role in summer 2024.

Darren is currently the stakeholder manager for the East region, covering Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire. He is the “go-to” Northern point of contact for stakeholders within his region. He has a wealth of railway experience being a driver manager for 8 years. He has been at Northern since 2001.

Jason is a 30-year veteran of the railway industry and is regional director for the North East. He started his career as a graduate trainee for Regional Railways North East, then part of British Rail. Since then he has held various roles within Northern, with his previous role being Head of Retail Operations.

Matt is the stakeholder manager for the North East region. He has been in this position for four years. He has a wealth of skills that have been developed over his career and around 30 years at Royal Mail where he progressed to Regional Director for Europe.
