 Updated 10/12/2024

Christmas 2024 and NY disruption calendar

Amended Sunday Timetable - From 22 December 2024

Sundays in the North West

From Sunday, 22nd December, Northern will introduce an amended timetable in the North West due to conductor availability. This timetable is designed to provide more certainty about the services that will run and reduce short-notice cancellations.

Sundays in North East and Yorkshire & Humber

A short-term timetable will be in place for Sunday, 22nd December, and Sunday, 29th December (ONLY), due to train crew availability and engineering works. This timetable aims to give passengers more certainty about services and minimise last-minute cancellations.

Planning your journey - Check before travelling

Journey planners have been updated for the festive period at www.nationalrail.co.uk, except Sunday 22 and 29 December - which will be updated soon.

We do expect some short-notice amendments and cancellations to take place in December, so please check before travelling as close to your journey time as possible.

Timetables, including temporary timetables, can be found at www.northernrailway.co.uk/timetables
(note Sunday 22&29 December is not uploaded yet, check back soon).
