To help Ukrainian nationals travelling to the UK, all train operators including Northern are offering free onward travel on National Rail services to get people to a safe place

From Sunday 20 March 2022, Northern along with other operators, will provide free one-way travel to any National Rail station from any point of entry into Great Britain.

Who is entitled to free travel?

Ukrainian passport holders who can provide evidence of entry (such as a boarding pass from an airline or free ticket from Eurostar) via any airport, seaport, coach or Eurostar station in Great Britain within the previous 2 days.

We understand this may not always be possible. If this is the case please speak with a member of our team at the station or before boarding who can assist. 

The journey must be claimed within 2 days of arrival at any airport, seaport, or international coach station, in Great Britain
