Chatsworth is one of the most iconic stately homes in the UK. Home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, the house has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. Built in the 1550s, it has been home to famous names such as Bess of Hardwick and Georgiana Cavendish.

Alongside the stunning House, there are beautiful Gardens, Parkland, a Farmyard and Adventure Playground. With events all-year round – including the famous annual Horse Trials and Country Fair - there is always something to see and do at Chatsworth.
Chatsworth has always prided itself on the welcome they offer to all visitors and is now able to offer full lift access to all floors of the historic building, ensuring that visitors using wheelchairs are able to share the same experience as everyone else, and see everything the house has to offer.

The estate also offers holiday cottages, hotels, shops and restaurants, including the award-winning Chatsworth Estate Farm shop in the village of Pilsley, approximately 1.5 miles from Chatsworth House.
The closest train station to Chatsworth is Chesterfield, where you can take a short bus ride to Nether End, Baslow, which is 2km from Chatsworth (approximately 25 minutes’ walk). Passengers arriving by bus into Baslow are able to access Chatsworth park via a public footpath.
