With dog ownership at an all-time high, research has revealed 72%* of dog owners curtail days out or feel guilty leaving their four-legged friend behind.

However, your dog needn’t miss out on a trip into Sheffield; with its wide shopping streets, great architecture and dog-friendly shopping destinations like Moonko, Glass Onion & Collard Manson, there’s plenty to sniff out – all a short walk from the station.

Dog-friendly Sheffield 

South Street Kitchen – The perfect spot to enjoy the views of Sheffield’s skyline whilst tucking into all day brunch or a sweet treat. All dishes are made using fresh seasonal ingredients and are inspired by numerous Middle Eastern cuisines. Conveniently, this café is situated just behind the train station and next to Sheaf Valley Park, meaning your pup can stretch their paws post brunch.


Kommune – This street-food style dining hall has something to please everyone! The grade II listed building in the centre of Sheffield provides a great social venue to eat, drink and shop at fantastic independent kitchens and retailers. Serving an extensive array of cuisines, you’ll be spoilt for choice. 


Steam Yard – Tucked away off Division St, this café has an idyllic courtyard for relaxing in the sun with a great coffee. The menu features a range of sandwiches, grilled cheese toasties & huge selection of treats, arrive early as food sells out fast. 


Sheffield Tap – Located on platform 1B in Sheffield train station there couldn’t be a more convenient spot to enjoy a drink with your pooch. This pub offers a varied selection of craft beers and onsite microbrewery in an impressive space which was once the Edwardian Refreshment Room & Dining Rooms of Sheffield Station.


Bungalows & Bears – Famed for their burgers, this popular pub is located in the old fire station, meaning in quieter times there’s plenty of space for your dog to relax next to you. Do check if they are hosting an event before visiting as it can get busy.
