Looking for a laidback venue to let your fur down after a long walk on the beach? Café Chicco On The Prom (next to Madame Tussauds) and Café Chicco On The Green (at the Solaris Centre) are happy for you to dine in with your dog. Boasting a classic British lunch menu including chip butties and jacket potatoes, there are enough food options to keep everyone’s tails wagging.

Located just a short stroll from the seafront, the family friendly atmosphere of The Gynn Pub and Restaurant awaits you and your furry friend. Stocking a wide range of cask ales, sink your teeth into a value for money carvery with your favourite pint in paw *AHEM* hand.

ART B&B – take you and your canine companion back in time by visiting this artsy boutique hotel bar which features an Alberto 1973 Italian coffee machine and original 1930s-1950s furniture. Open to art lovers and their dogs from 10.30am until 11pm Wednesday to Saturday, enjoy the bespoke cocktail menu and curl up by the relaxing sea-view.

Calling all ale lovers - Albert’s Micropub specialises in a range of cask ales including gluten-free and low-alcohol options from local microbreweries and beyond. If you were to get peckish, there are plenty of delicious treats to sniff out including cheese & onion toasties, traditional bar snacks such as Lancashire crisps and their ever-popular pork scratchings! They also have outdoor seating available for sunny days.

Don’t get your tail in a twist about leaving your pooch behind while you head out for drinks – at The Little Black Pug Bar (unsurprisingly) everyone is welcome, including your beloved breed. An award-winning free house pub famed for its live entertainment and large selection of spirits, it’s the perfect place to let yourself off the leash.

Dogs on the beach
