Customer Service Assistant

Our Customer Service Assistants work in our stations and make sure our customers are safe, comfortable and secure. It’s all about being there when you’re needed, responding quickly, and making sure everyone always enjoy that Northern experience.

Gateline Operator

You’ll be a warm and welcoming face at our ticket barriers, making sure that all customers have the right tickets for their travel. It’s also about delivering amazing customer service and solving issues before they become problems.

Customer Service Dispatch

In this customer service role, you’ll make sure that our trains are dispatched safely and on time, while offering information, guidance and assistance. And before you start, you’ll also have the chance to complete a full training course that will help you build and test your knowledge.

Ticket Office

Join our Ticket Office and you’ll look after customers’ travel needs with the kind of brilliant customer service that Northern is known for. Day to day, you’ll be involved in everything from opening and closing our station ticket offices to answering travel enquiries. And you’ll report station faults as quickly as you find them, too.

Support Services

Join Support Services, and you’ll go do your thing behind the scenes to help transform rail travel in the UK. Here, our teams meet Northern’s daily needs so that everyone in the business (and all our customers!) can make sure their own days run smoothly.
