Network disruption
There is some continued disruption on our rail network following Storm Goretti.
We are working with Network Rail to reopen the network - please see below for the latest travel advice.
Chesterfield to Nottingham
Trains are now running again - please check before you travel.
Huddersfield - Barnsley
Trains are now running again - please check before you travel.
Guide Bridge - Glossop/Hadfield

Hazel Grove - Buxton
Trains are running again - please check before your travel.
New Mills Central - Sheffield
Trains will run to a reduced timetable. The first train from Manchester Piccadilly to Sheffield is at 15:48 and from Sheffield to Manchester Piccadilly is at 17:14 on Friday 9 January - please check before you travel.
For all other travel plans please check your journey in full before you travel.
If you have a ticket prebooked for travel when the closures are in place it will be accepted on our trains on:
- Thursday 8 January until the closure begins
- Saturday 10 January
Bee Network
Tickets will be accepted on the following Bee Network buses:
- 237 service between Ashton-Under-Lyne - Stalybridge - Hadfield - Glossop on Thursday 8 January from 18:00 and on Friday 9 January
- 341 service: Hyde - Hattersley - Broadbottom - Charlseworth - Glossop on Friday 9 January
- You can travel to Hyde Central using the Rose Hill Marple train and take the 341 bus from there towards Glossop.
