Northern outlines Barton Line timetable changes

Northern, alongside the rest of the UK rail industry, has introduced amended timetables to continue to help those who need to travel get where they need to be during the coronavirus pandemic.

As part of these new timetables, which reflect the national lockdown and the message that only essential journeys should be made, it has been necessary to reduce services on some routes.

The Barton line (Barton-on-Humber to Cleethorpes) is one of the routes affected by the changes and the services, which are operated jointly by Northern and TransPennine Express, have been temporarily suspended to enable operators to provide greater reliability across the entire network.

Our priority is to deliver a service that is reliable and that our customers can have confidence in. The amended timetable will do this across the north of England.

For customers who need to make essential journeys on the Barton line, Northern is operating a rail replacement bus service with details available online via the Northern website or via online journey planners.

If customers decide not to travel, they will be entitled to a refund.

This is an ever-changing situation and we will keep our services under constant review.
