Cycling fans offered rail advice ahead of first day of UCI World Championships

Cycling fans preparing for the first day of the UCI Road Race World Championships are being asked to take note of train timetables.

Northern is calling on all who are planning to use the train to get to and from the days races to be familiar with the times of available train services.

The racing, which will see three para-cycling events on Saturday, starts at midday in Beverley and finishes at Harrogate at around 3pm, with fanzone events carrying on into the evening.

Northern has committed as many trains and carriages to the region as possible to try to help everyone's travel go as smoothly as possible.

Fans looking to get to the start of the days races in Beverley, Tadcaster and Wetherby can find full timetables (where available) below:

  • Beverley - racing starts at midday
  • Tadcaster - racing starts at 2pm (Ulleskelf is nearest station)
  • Wetherby - racing starts at 3pm (There are no nearby stations)
