Due to urgent repairs to a bridge between Workington and Carlisle, the line is blocked
Until further notice, a 2-hourly replacement timetable will operate between Carlisle and Maryport.
Replacement buses will also operate between Carlisle and Workington
The railway line between Carlisle and Barrow-in-Furness is partially closed while Network Rail undertake urgent repair works to the Derwent Viaduct, which crosses the River Derwent, north of Workington.
Journeys will take longer, please check before you travel.
Rail replacement bus stop locations can be found on posters at stations.
Avanti West Coast and TransPennine Express services run between Carlisle and
Lancaster, changing at Lancaster for alternative services to and from Barrow-in-Furness.
