The multi-million pound investment – developed through a partnership between Northern, Burnley Council, Network Rail and Lancashire County Council – means customers can to travel by train direct between East Lancashire and Manchester.

The Todmorden Curve, a 500 metre stretch of rail track completed in 2014, has improved journey times between Burnley, Accrington and Manchester and has proved to be a vital catalyst for jobs, economic growth and the visitor economy. The curve has put Burnley and Accrington within easy commuting time of Manchester and has opened up significant job prospects, as well as tourist and leisure opportunities.

Most trains also serve Salford Central and Salford Crescent.

*Sunday service only from Church and Oswaldtwistle.

Duo ticket for two adults travelling together, returning the same day. Available on trains timed to depart after 0900 Mondays to Fridays - return any time the same day except for trains timed to depart Manchester Stations between 1601 - 1759 inclusive. Further discounts are available for Railcard holders (except Duo and Weekly Season Tickets) - conditions apply.  Weekly Season Tickets, Off-Peak Day Return, Duo and Railcard discounted tickets can only be purchased from the conductor on the train when boarding at unstaffed stations or when the ticket office is closed.
