To enable us to carry out improvement work at Hebden Bridge station we need to close the station car park from Monday 13 September. Work is expected to take 13 weeks to complete.
During this closure, please use the new 180 space car park at Mytholmroyd station. This is a short drive away and the suggested route is shown on the map below.
Hebden Bridge is part of the Rail Park & Ride programme, a programme of works under the Growth Deal funding to extend car parks at rail stations within West Yorkshire in order to offer more spaces for rail users, to reduce the number of cars driving their full journey into town centres and reduce CO2 emissions, as well as increasing access to employment and leisure to residents across the county.
Hebden Bridge station currently has 81 spaces, pre-Covid, these were full by 8am every morning, this scheme, working with our partners at Northern Trains and Network Rail, aims to increase the number by an additional 46 spaces (56%) bringing the total to 127.
The scheme will include additional CCTV installations across the carpark, new low energy LED lighting and enhanced drainage.
