Temporary car park closure

The Hebden Bridge station car park is temporarily closed for resurfacing work. The car park will re-open on Friday 29 July.

The car park will remain partially open for rail users, with approximately 30 spaces available for use.  Alternatively, the car park at Mytholmroyd is also available for use. This is a short drive away and the suggested route is shown on the map below.

Hebden Bridge Alternate Route Map

Hebden Bridge is part of the Rail Park & Ride programme; a programme of works under the Growth Deal funding to extend car parks at rail stations within West Yorkshire in order to offer more spaces for rail users, to reduce the number of cars driving their full journey into town centres and reduce CO2 emissions, as well as increasing access to employment and leisure to residents across the county.

Hebden Bridge station currently has 81 spaces, pre-Covid, this scheme, led by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority with support from Northern and Network Rail, aims to increase the number by an additional 45 spaces bringing the total to 126, which includes 4 Blue Badge bays, and 3 Motorcycle spaces.

The scheme will include additional CCTV installations across the carpark, new low energy LED lighting and enhanced drainage.
