Do Trains Run on Boxing Day?

We have all been there haven’t we? Over-indulging on wine, chocolate, and a few too many pigs in blankets, and you make the executive decision that yes, you will stay the night at your Mother’s house - you’ll just get the train, they run on Boxing Day… right?

Do the trains run on Boxing Day? 

A limited number of services usually run on Boxing Day, and these are usually airport transfer services. So if you need to catch a plane, and jetset off on this bank holiday, you may well be in luck!

However, it’s always best to be sure that your service is running. No one wants to be making a mad dash to the airport - especially with extra luggage, filled with presents!
