Manchester to Chester engineering works
On Sundays 28 February and 7, 14 and 21 March, buses replace trains between Manchester, Altrincham, Mouldsworth and Chester.
As part of £1.3m investment through the Great North Rail Project in the Timperley area of Manchester, Network Rail will be installing a new pumping station and over 300 metres of new a drainage system to alleviate surface water issues and make train journeys more reliable on the route. Work will also be undertaken work to stabilise the railway embankment in the area.

Please note rail replacement buses are unable to carry:
- Heavy luggage
- Non-folding bicycles, prams or scooters
- Animals (other than registered assistance dogs).

Travelling with us
