We will attempt to contact you via the email address given on entering.

If the winner(s) cannot be contacted within a reasonable time period (10 days) or is/are not available to accept the prize beyond the promoter’s reasonable control, Northern reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.

Your unique Season Ticket number will be submitted to a random number generator, which will select the winners.

Only season tickets available on routes operated by Northern will be entered.

Weekly, monthly and annual Northern Smart season tickets in addition those of our partners: Merseyside Railpass, Greater Manchester Traincard, West Yorkshire MCard ‘Bus & Rail’ and TravelMaster SYConnect+ tickets.

To enter a given month’s free prize draw you must opt-in to the competition and have an active Season Ticket product valid for travel on Northern services for a least one day during the relevant entry period. Only one entry per person per prize draw, however entrants can choose to be entered into future prize draws. Open to UK residents (excluding Northern Ireland) aged over 18 only.

Winners receive the cash value of their weekly, monthly or annual season ticket, up to the value of £200.

Two prize draws will take place every month, with the competition running from 01/09/2019 through to 31/01/2020. Draw (a): at least 500 winners sharing a monthly prize fund of £100,000 for Northern Smart season tickets /Merseyside Railpass/ Greater Manchester Traincard. Draw (b): at least 125 winners sharing a monthly prize fund of £25,000 for West Yorkshire MCard/ South Yorkshire Travelmaster tickets.
