Yes, the wearable is yours to use as you wish. There are lots of fitness applications that you can download to use to monitor and improve your overall health and wellbeing. It is not the purpose of our research to monitor the use of other applications you download and there are no expectations from the research team that you must be engaging in physical activity or improving your fitness during the trial. However, you may receive general tips on how to improve your wellbeing as we believe strongly in giving our passengers the tools and knowledge to improve their wellbeing.

Yes, we would love to hear from you if you have any suggestions about how we could do things differently via #rail_life on twitter or via email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

If you change your mobile during the trial you can re-download the app using the same email account on the new phone. However note that unfortunately you will lose any points and rewards badges that you have earned.

The more you wear the wearable, the more accurately we can understand your baseline stress. In order to contribute data to the study, the activity tracker will need to be worn and synched to the App during journeys with Northern on the Calder Valley line or the Bolton area, however you can take the wearable off whenever you need to.

The wearable should be kept for yourself during the trial (to ensure reliable data is collected), however what you choose to do with the wearable after the trial is up to you – it is yours to use as you please!

Participants may only have one wearable. If you’re having technical issues we can support with resolving these, just contact: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

We will need to ask you for a postal address and the wearable device will be posted out to you via a courier service. You will receive this in time for the research starting, giving you time to sync the wearable with your Android phone. Instructions will be provided with the mobile application on how to sync the wearable and the mobile application together.
