Todmorden Station is in the limelight this week after featuring on national TV on Britain in Bloom.

The station was certainly looking at its best thanks to tireless efforts of the station adopters and local community – all of whom worked together to create a fantastic memorial for the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

Richard Isaac, Community and Sustainability Manager, said: “The station looked fantastic and reflects the work of the station adopters and local community, and the support Northern gives to community volunteers.

“The programme really evidenced that our support and involvement reaches right into the heart of local communities encouraging diversity and inclusivity.”

Todmorden’s fantastic floral displays, along with other magnificent memorials, featured in the programme which aired on BBC 2 on Wednesday night (10 April) and was filmed last summer.
