Liverpool Lime Street station has reopened after 23 days of improvement work as part of the Great North Rail Project.

 

This has involved the redesign and lengthening of some platforms and the creation of two others. Work will continue continue next year and from 2019 will enable an extra three services per hour in and out of the station.
