Thousands of people were left smiling this week after steam made a welcome return to the Settle and Carlisle line. Northern took its customers to a bygone age by replacing regular timetabled services with a steam service – hauled by the A1 locomotive Tornado.
Northern was given cause to celebrate last week after scooping a customer focussed award at the UK Rail Industry Awards. Having been nominated in three categories, Northern came home with the gong for Project and Service Innovation.
The results of the autumn 2016 wave of the National Rail Passenger Survey (NRPS) have been published today. They show that overall customer satisfaction with Northern and our services is 81%.
