Saturday 2 June to Sunday 29 July

What is happening?

Between Saturday 2 June and Sunday 29 July 2018 the next and final phase of Network Rail’s upgrade to Liverpool Lime Street takes place with partial closures of the mainline station meaning revised train and rail replacement services will be in operation on all routes in and out of Liverpool Lime Street during these two months.

Train and replacement bus services will operate in a similar way to those delivered in October 2017, and more recently, on Sunday 8 April 2018. However, the plan has been revised to take into account the changes to train times that will have taken place since the May 2018 timetable change.

What will happen to train services?

Throughout the work, buses will replace all trains between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Lime Street.

For services that usually run between Manchester/Wigan and Liverpool via Huyton, the arrangements are slightly different at various stages through the works. Timetables are below.

Liverpool Lime Street station’s facilities, both customer and staff, and also the low-level Wirral Line station remain open throughout the works.
