It’s that time of year again. This weekend will see carnival fever take over Leeds, and down at West Yorkshire Playhouse, they have something of a tradition building. The first is on Saturday afternoon – Body Stencils with Nichola Pemberton takes inspiration from the colours and poses in The Tetley’s current Stass Paraskos exhibition to create drawings of family members. The second is on Monday afternoon – Sculptural Shapes with Joe Howlett brings together bright colours with a range of different shapes to create sculptures.

Temple Newsam will be one of the star attractions this bank holiday as it gets set to host its first ever beer festival. The National Football Museum are happy to be part of 'I Am Team GB'; the nation's biggest sports day on Saturday 27 August.

Of course we'll be offering our fair share of football fun, with skills sessions and games for youngsters throughout the day. But, inspired by the successes of Team GB at the Rio 2016 Olympics, we'll be offering all visitors tasters of some other sports you might have enjoyed watching in Brazil.
