With 21 hectares to play with right in the centre of Nottingham Highfields Park is the perfect location to stop, look around - and take a good, deep, breath of fresh air.

Endowed with magnificent trees, exotic plantings and water features Highfields Park is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There’s also a host of facilities on offer, with a boating lake, bowling and putting greens, plus plenty refreshment options – including ice cream from the resident van.

The play area is one of the best around with enough equipment to keep the kids happy for quite a while. There’s also an onsite gallery to browse, complete with tea room. Nature lovers can get close to wildlife with ducks, geese and squirrels aplenty and there are endless spots for a perfect picnic.

If you’ve nothing on – why not drop by to watch the model boats on a Sunday morning? Or learn to play croquet? The croquet club meets between the boating lake and University Boulevard.
