As a port city, Hull has gone through many changes as a result of evolving from a trade destination to a city of culture. Just an hour from Leeds, we’ve detailed the main Northern stations below.
Hull
Situated on Anlaby Road, Hull station acts as a terminus station for the Selby Line while also operating on the Yorkshire Coast Line. The station also goes by Hull Paragon Interchange, acting as a bus station as well.
Hessle
Operating on the Selby Line, Hessle station has been serving the town of Hessle since 1840. The station is unstaffed with a ticket machine available and step-free access is in use to both platforms.
Ferriby
Serving the town of North Ferriby with two platforms, the station is on the Selby Line, seeing one train every hour. The station is unstaffed but does have a ticketing machine along with step-free access to both platforms.
Cottingham
Situated on the Yorkshire Coast Line, this station serves the village of Cottingham and has since 1846. The station is unstaffed but does offer a ticket machine and step-free access to platform 2; the use of platform 1 requires a level crossing.
Beverley
Operating on the Yorkshire Coast Line, the station services the town and minster of Beverley. Like most stations in the area, it was designed by G.T. Andrews but it is staffed unlike most and has step-free access to both platforms.
