Valley Gardens are home to 17 acres of verdant tranquillity. Take a long stroll in these elegant gardens and keep the kids busy with plenty of exciting activities.
This refined Grade II listed garden is bursting with well-manicured trees, shrubs, and flower beds. It also boasts some beautiful historic buildings - including the Sun Pavilion and colonnades. Enjoy quiet botanical contemplation and take a walk through the gardens to nearby RHS Harlow Carr, via paths that are nicely accessible for all.
Those with more active pursuits in mind won’t be disappointed either with a skate park, boating pond, paddling pool and exciting play area to enjoy. There’s also pitch and putt, tennis, plus games on the pavilion.
Wind down after all that hectic activity with a picnic or while away a lazy Sunday afternoon listening to a band concert in summer. And why not do as genteel Georgians did and take “the cure” – pep yourself up with a free sample of mineral waters from the Pump Room Museum at the gardens' entrance.
