Chester Racecourse, known as the Roodee, is – according to official records – the oldest racecourse still in use in England, established in 1539.
The racecourse’s historical, iconic façade is complimented by contemporary interiors and surrounded by beautifully manicured lawns, a picturesque setting, rich in heritage and set in over thirty acres of breath-taking green space, flanked by the River Dee.
The Chester Racecourse racing calendar takes place between May and September. Seasonal highlights include the prestigious three-day Boodles May Festival at the beginning of race season; City Plate Day in July; and the Season Finale in September. Roman Day and Family Funday are family favourite days with lots of activities themed for little ones.
Although prices differ for each fixture, enclosure tickets start at just £10 for adults on the Open Course, ranging up to £90 for The Winning Post Enclosure. Children aged 17 and under who are accompanied by an adult are admitted free of charge every raceday at Chester.
Hospitality packages are available from just £55+VAT person. For more information, contact the hospitality team on 01244 304 631.
