With over 1500 animals, Blackpool Zoo provides new standards of animal care and aims to provide a stimulating, informative and enjoyable experience that demonstrates its role in the conservation of endangered species.
In Dinosaur world Come face to face with the terrifying tyrannosaurus rex, mighty marine reptiles, awesome pterodactyls and more than 30 other stunning prehistoric creatures. Your Dinosaur Safari will take you under the shadows of a giant erupting volcano, past spouting water geysers, over running streams, alongside misty lakes and even behind a living curtain of water. Sound effects, thousands of authentic living plants and trees and even a crashing meterorite bring the prehistoric world vividly to life.

Trains run to two stations in Blackpool: We recommend Blackpool North Station which is a 5 minute walk from the town centre, from where you can take the bus or a taxi to the zoo.
Blackpool South Station is about 3 miles from the Zoo, (there are usually plenty of taxis available at both stations).
Blackpool Zoo are open every day from 10.00am (except Christmas Day, when their reindeer are a bit busy!).
