Visit one of the best preserved medieval manor houses in England. Gainsborough Old Hall is over 500 years old, built by the noble Burgh family around 1460, and is now a popular visitor attraction and one of the places to learn about the local history of the town.
Explore the history of the hall (including its ghosts!) or discover Gainsborough’s pilgrim roots that led the Mayflower Pilgrims on their journey to America. The hall hosts a variety of exhibitions throughout the year including beer festivals and craft fairs. When you’re tired from all the exploring, have a rest at the Chambers coffee shop.
