York train stations
As one of the UK’s most influential cities, York has had a station since 1839 acting as a key junction station between London and Edinburgh, due to being approximately halfway between. York services trains to the North East, North West and Midlands.
York
York station services trains to Hull, Blackpool North and Leeds, with a half-hourly service towards Leeds. The station itself is centrally located with only a short walk to York Minster and other key attractions.
Poppleton
Located just outside of York, Poppleton is on the Harrogate Line between Leeds and York, coming every half-hour. It is an unstaffed station with no ticket machines but it does have step-free access to both platforms.
Ulleskelf
Operating three lines through it, all operated by Northern; the York and Selby Line; Hull-York Line; and the Dearne Valley Line, a local line. The station only has two platforms and is unstaffed with step-free access.

There are no specific luggage restrictions on Northern trains to York. However, we ask that passengers are mindful of how much luggage they bring and use the dedicated luggage space provided. Please do not block the train doors, walkways or use seats for luggage.
