It has been claimed that it is not in our interest to resolve these strikes as we will not lose any money. This is categorically untrue, strike action has cost Northern many millions of pounds in lost revenue, and it is also disrupting customers’ lives and damaging the economy of the North.

Despite this, we are delivering on all of our commitments and more than £600m is being invested to transform the Northern network - with new trains, better stations, more services and faster journeys for our customers.
