Newcastle’s famous Continental Christmas Market returns this year and it will not only be based at Grey’s Monument but also extended to Blackett Street and Northumberland Street. The streets will be filled with a Christmassy atmosphere as traders from across Europe housed in beautiful wooden chalets, sell delicious Christmas food and drinks as well as art, crafts and gifts.
The markets welcome over 70 market stalls; bringing a great variety and also a real taste of Europe with stalls selling street food from across Europe. Pop over for lunch and sample street food from across the world or take a stroll through the stalls to buy special one-off gifts for your family and friends.

This year, Time’s Square hosts Newcastle’s first Christmas Village & Weekend Christmas Craft Market. The market features an authentic Bavarian beer hall with live German oompah bands until midnight every weekend. It is also filled with German street food huts surrounding the courtyard.
